About Us

My name is Melanie, and I started this website to share coloring pages with you!

Here are a few things about me:

  • I live in Australia with my husband and 2 children. I’m an Early Childhood teacher (K-3).

  • I became a school teacher in 2001 and love helping children learn and feel happy at school. I don’t have my own classroom this year so I can focus more on my creative work and you.

  • I’ve been making printable teaching activities since 2005 over at From the Pond. I love thinking of ways to create fun activities to help children deeply understand things.

  • I love to be creative and especially love to sketch. I just use an ordinary sketch book and a soft, thin black marker that feels nice on the paper.

  • I taught myself to draw on the computer and I started on a program called MS Paint.

  • I love my family, nature and learning. I also love to teach, share and make people happy!
